SPAIN STILL TOP OF THE CHARTS!
PROPERTY IN SPAIN STILL THE FAVOURITE FOR SECOND HOMES!
Second homes in the sun may be down as the credit crunch bites. However villas in Spain are still the Brits favourite choice for holiday homes in the sun. Click the link above and you will find a lovely villa for rent in Murcia on a top golfing resort.
Villas and appartments have been bought as investments for quite a number of years now but more and more people are buying them purely for their own and their family's use. The cost of maintaining holiday villas is always more than you budget for. Even in Spain the management charges to maintain a villa when it is not being used can be quite exorbitant. Local council tax, community charges and personal wealth tax all add up and with the mortgage rate rises in Spain nearly as steep as in the UK buyers need to be made more aware of what is really involved.
This makes the idea of renting villas in different locations each year more and more attractive. No hidden costs and somebody elses' problem.

TURKEY SEEMS TO BE THE PLACE TO GO! FORGET CRUISING!
Turkey seems to be the place to visit according to the travel sections of some of the top Sunday newspapers. I found this wonderfull villa (just click on the highlighted text!) in our Turkish selection of villas. It looks quite luxurious.
At the moment I have noticed that all the travel advertising is on cruises! Forget villas! My friend has just come back from an Xmas cruise in the Med. She had been so excited that she was not prepared for what was to come. Everyone seemed so old! All there was to do was eat! The whole ship load of passengers got dysentry and with gale force 9s most of the way half of the passengers disembarked at Lisbon and flew home! Cruises seem so glamorous but once onboard there is little to do but eat, sleep and laze around. OK for a few days but after that I think I would go mad!
Hence back to villas! I think I will maybe see if this turkish villa is free sometime this summer......

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO! NOW THERE'S A DESTINATION!
VILLAS IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO! HOW WONDERFUL!
It is always exciting every day to see the new villas listed on our bookthatvilla website. Villas from all round the world, the more usual places of Spain, Italy and France but we have had our first villa in Trinidad and Tobago. Problem is when villas come on to the site every day my colleagues and I in the office are sooooo tempted to book up. We spend more time drooling over the villas than doing work! However perhaps this new one might just tempt me!
Anyway we are hoping that now telephone numbers are appearing beside the search listings of all our lovely villas that more and more bookings will come through our exciting website. I never knew villas could be such fun and such an escape from this rather drab time of year! Roll on summer!
