MY OWN VILLA AVAILABLE NOW FOR BOOKING!
Stunning Spanish Villa on a 5 star Golf and Tennis Resort!
I think I am biased because this is my own personal villa in a wonderful corner of South East Spain. Along with a colleague we are setting up tennis holidays at this resort starting at Easter time. When I go to Spain I feel I have left this world completely, with all the stresses and strains of living (!), and died and gone to heaven. Life is so much slower, the sun is constantly shining and tennis and golf are on tap. There are numerous swimming pools for just chilling out round with that sumptious rioja. There is a huge selection of villas at the resort to chose from to stay in and there are hundreds of villas to buy.

HOLIDAY IN SPACE!
Like all villa owners and renters alike I browse the Sunday papers at leisure over my capuccino looking at all the new travel opportunities around the world. Today, however, I don't think I was quite sold on the new offer of a trip in space. Being offered at the special rate of only £100,000 (£10,000 deposit secures) for 3 hours I think (??), I sadly declined to phone up and book.
I the hectic world we live I think the majority of us might be still favouring a nice bit of sunshine and sangria as a preference for our two weeks off. A bit of activity, golf, tennis and horseriding is very welcome but hanging upside down in a weightless capsule for a couple of hours isn't my idea of perfect relaxation!
Some more lovely villas added today. One appears to be a trulli in Southern Italy. Hope you all know what these are. I might just take a trip there to find out!

MORE NEW VILLAS!
We have had lots of new registrations over the last few days on our site. Check out the lovely Spanish property ID 334 which has just gone live! We have had another 5 today.
All those people who did not want to register their villas because of the old terms and conditions which charged a pecentage on bookings can now rest easy that there are absolutely NO CHARGES NOW FOR REGISTERING. There are no hidden costs.....Bookthatvilla is a completely free site.
Summer and easter holidays are now being decided all over the country by families deciding what to do and where to go. What about an activity holiday? I have a lovely villa with private pool in Spain (ID 114) at a wonderful golfing resort in Murcia, South East Spain, called Hacienda del Alamo. It is my little piece of heaven away from all this villa business! We are starting to run family tennis holidays at the fabulous new tennis and sports centre. Just send the kids off early morning for lessons and join in with the adults in an attempt to work off some of that winter flab. With Spain you can't beat the weather. In Murcia we were sold our property on the back of 320 days sunshine a year. Looking outside in England at the moment I wish I was in Spain. It is raining hard and blowing a gale.
Anyway keep adding those villas and I will keep you posted on the new and interesting ones as they are posted.

ADVERTISING YOUR VILLAS
Today I amended our terms and conditions to show the new way our villa website works. There are NO charges at all for either registering on our website or when any bookings are made. Renters and owners will communicate directly. I know this will appeal to our faithful band of villa owners but also will encourage the hundreds of registered property owners to at last list their many properties.
Trawling through newspaper adverts, especially on a Sunday in the travel sections, I used to think this was the way to advertise my villas. About 3 years ago when bookthatvilla was in its infancy I thought it would be a great idea to take out an ad every Sunday in one of the important Sunday newspapers - a small box. I bet no one who reads this could guess how much that advert would cost (6 months only?). Well I expect you are sitting down if you are reading this which is just as well. The total quoted was £27,000 plus VAT!! The girl on the other end of the phone was so chirpy I think she thought this was a bargain. I could probably just about still buy a villa for that in one of the Eastern bloc countries! Anyway I decided against it.
Our wonderful programmer, Pete, advised me well when he said you can get all the coverage you need for your villa business on line if you know how to use the internet well. It is great to have a whizz on our ever expanding team.
Our stats are growing daily and the choice of villas is expanding and some absolutely stunning villas are making me wish for more sun.
